The Cellhasher Team will carefully disassemble each device and go through the complete process of installing it into a Cellhasher, as shown in the official documentation.

We will also safely remove and recycle the batteries, so you don't have to. Custom-made BMS cables will be used, and the Cellhasher will be fine-tuned to the correct output voltage for your device's specifications. Learn more about the process below.

What to Know:

This is a limited availability pilot program. Devices such as iPhone's, tablets, and some Android phones are currently excluded from the service. Minimum of 10 phones per order. Submissions are subject to review and may be denied if the service cannot be provided for your specified device. If a request is approved, you'll receive instructions to follow the process outlined here.

Once finished packaging, apply the included return label and drop off the package.

Phones are Serviced

We will professionally service the phones so that they are able to be installed in a Cellhasher. We will recycle the batteries as well.

Ships to You Ready

We then ship the phones back to you, which are now ready for installation into a Cellhasher!

FAQ

Is a Cellhasher included, or do I need to purchase it separately?

When submitting the interest form, you can select if you'd like your devices returned back to you with a specific Cellhasher model. Alternatively, you can select that we only service and send back the phones to avoid the added cost of including a Cellhasher.

What happens if one of my phones is damaged or incompatible during installation?

We'll inspect the devices upon delivery to us. If a phone is found to be incompatible or damaged beyond safe use, we'll notify you and may exclude it from installation (with partial refund or other situational options). We handle all devices with care, but pre-existing issues aren't covered.

Why might someone choose this service instead of DIY?

Professional disassembly avoids risks (e.g., damaging components), ensures proper BMS cable installation, accurate voltage tuning, safe battery recycling, and saves time/effort—ideal if you're scaling up or not experienced with phone modding.

What about the phone batteries?

You can ship your phones as-is, with the battery still inside. Part of the service includes safely removing and recycling the batteries for you, so you don't have to!
